Teófila Martínez Saiz, President of RETE and President of the Port Authority of the Bay of Cadiz, and José García Fuentes, President of the Port Authority of Motril – Granada, are pleased to invite you to the Conference “Motril, open port”, which will take place on 15 October, from 9:30 to 12:30, as hybrid event, in person (Assembly Hall of the Blue Building, Port of Motril) and online.
The day will be divided into three stages: after the official opening with the institutional greetings of the two presidents and Luisa María García Chamorro, Mayoress of Motril, a first conference will follow in which Francisco José González-Mendez, Director of the Port Authority of Motril, will discuss the integration of port activity in the urban environment “Motril Puerto Abierto”.
In the second conference, Prof. Juana Sanchez, University of Malaga, and Prof. Dr. Alejandro Grindlay, University of Granada, will deal with port-city connection strategies.
The third and last session of the day will be devoted to the presentation of successful experiences in the port-city relationship, in a dialogue moderated by Mercedes Navarrete Avilés, IDEAL journalist, with the participation of Marta Villalonga, Head of Cabinet of the Port Authority of Valencia and Martín Fernández, President of the Port Authority of A Coruña.
