The organisation publishes the regulatory bases for a call for sponsorship as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility.

Thursday, 27 March 2025. The Port Authority of the Bay of Cadiz (APBC) has published the regulatory bases of the 2025 call for sponsorships through which it will finance cultural, educational, sporting and social activities of private and non-profit making entities, which take place in the port’s sphere of influence.

This initiative, which is part of the entity’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), responds, on the one hand, to the need for the APBC to continue promoting activities that contribute to its knowledge and recognition as the main agent generating wealth and employment and driving the economic and social development of its environment; and, on the other hand, to respond to the responsibility towards the society in which it is immersed.

According to the terms and conditions, published on the APBC website (https://www.puertocadiz.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Bases-reguladora- patrocinio.pdf), applications will be dealt with in order of submission, as this is a non-competitive process, and will be assessed by a specially created committee according to criteria of suitability in terms of port interest, media impact, brand visibility and notoriety.

Applicants must meet certain requirements, such as being a private non-profit making organisation, being declared or in the process of applying for declaration as public utility associations, carrying out the activity in the area of influence of the port, that is, Cadiz, Puerto Real and El Puerto de Santa Maria, and presenting a project of the activity to be sponsored and a publicity plan, among other documents.

Applications must be submitted at least 30 days before the start of the activity and the application period will be open for three months from the date of publication of the terms and conditions and the object of sponsorship must take place during 2025.

Depending on the category of sponsorship, a maximum of 500, 1,000, 1,500 or 2,000 euros is eligible, and in no case may this amount exceed 50 per cent of the total cost of the activity.

In the 2024 call for applications, the CBCPA processed 29 applications, of which 21 were finally accepted, which were those that fulfilled all the requirements established in the rules, bringing the total amount of the sponsorships to 21,500 euros.
